I had a phone call this morning about window cleaning. "Do you clean your own windows".....well as most of you know my motto on this subject is......"never pay someone to do something that you are very capable of doing yourself." So the answer is "yes" I clean all my windows inside and out about three times a year.
I don't enjoy cleaning windows, but the most beautiful feature of my home hands-down is the windows! My home has 48 wood casement windows with removable mullins (extra work). These windows are high-maintenance!
My trick is that I do one room each week. This is usually a Saturday job and my husband sometimes helps out. I take my time and scrub down my windows with the scrubby side of a kitchen sponge and a bit of Joy soap. Then I spray the window down (water in a spray bottle with a few drops of Joy) and squeegee. I wipe down any drips, wipe out tracks, wipe down moldings, dust top edge. I guarantee this is the best cleaning your windows will ever get!
If you just........"don't do windows!" Then I suggests Clearly Amazing Window Cleaning. They do a nice job.
A few notes; be careful spraying near silk drapes and if you will be blowing bark into your exterior beds this spring wait to clean windows until bark installatoin is complete.
Special Note; If you still haven't received a laminated "Day-to-Day" cleaning schedule.....please let me know and I will happily drop one in the mail for you!
