Out Smarting Slugs

A girlfriend and I were discussing slugs the other day and I was explaining how I like to hunt for them in the early morning and pluck them up and thrown them into the forest.  My friend likes to use the old beer trick and she says it works great.

Well I did some fun slug research and discovered a fantastic way to capture slugs and recycle them!  Place pieces of cardboard on the bare soil around your plantings in the early evening.  In the morning turn your "slug boards" over and scrape the slugs into a plastic container.  Place the container in your freezer for three hours.  Once the slugs are frozen you can add them to your compost!
