What a beautiful day...don't forget the birds!

The sun is shining and the sky is blue!  Beautiful and cold!  I just filled my bird feeders and then sat in my sun room and watched the birds flock in!  Birds seemed to come from miles around.  During winter food sources are limited so remember; suet for woodpeckers and other insect eaters, fill feeders with black-oil sunflower seed or thistle for seed eaters, and scatter millet for ground feeders.

Your children will enjoy watching the birds come into their yard and up near your windows!  They will especially enjoy learning their names and habits! Please let me know if you would like me to send you a laminated chart of the most common birds in our area.  Chart will indicate what the birds like to eat:).  Your children can use the chart to identify who is coming for lunch!
Enjoy, Dayna
