Take a walk around your home...what rooms do you use most? Where could you use more space? Do you have rooms or areas in your home that are hardly used? Maybe it's time to repurpose a few of your rooms? A bonus room designed for little children and now your kids are teenagers? A formal living room into a large family-sized dinning room or harvest room?
Repurposing is a fun and inexpensive way to update your home. Recently I helped a family in a really small townhouse make room for a much needed playroom for their two daughters. The family had a small guest room that they used a few times a year and we used that space to create an adorable playroom and in the closet; storage designed for memory keeping, photo albums and labeled keepsake boxes.
It took a bit of courage to sell all my living room and dinning room furniture on craigslist to make way for a 10' long harvest table and the dream of an over-sized harvest room that could accommodate a few families at a time. I had moments of "what have I done".....but I kept reminding myself that my plan made perfect sense! Our family never used the living room and our old dinning room was too small for entertaining. I'm amazed now that I waited so long! I transformed our old dinning room space into a cozy "sun room" and now it's possibly the most used room in the house!
I would love to help you "repurpose" a few rooms in your house! Let's clean-out, organize and repurpose!
Sincerely,
Dayna Stamnes
